Events for Every Week of the Holidays

School holidays run from Friday, June 28th to Friday, July 12th, 2024. To make planning easier, we’ve highlighted some events happening each week:

  • Week 1 (June 30th – July 2nd): Make new friends and have a blast at the Piggy Pumpkins Playgroup at Paradise Park. This is a supervised playgroup perfect for toddlers to burn off some energy.
  • Week 2 (July 5th- July 7th): Feeling adventurous? Head to the Currumbin Rock Pools for supervised swimming sessions and rockpool exploration activities designed especially for little ones.
  • Week 3 (July 9th-11th):  Cuddle overload! Don’t miss storytime with adorable baby animals at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a heart-warming experience for the whole family.

Beyond the Events: Fun Activities for Every Day

The Gold Coast is a playground for all ages, and there’s plenty to do outside of scheduled events:

  • Beach days: Build sandcastles, splash in the waves, or boogie board along the shore. Some of the best beaches for families include Surfers Paradise Beach, Burleigh Heads Beach, and Kurrawa Beach.
  • Wildlife encounters: Get up close to Australia’s amazing creatures at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary or David Fleay Wildlife Park.  These sanctuaries offer interactive experiences perfect for sparking a love of nature in young children.
