Your little explorer’s first day at Arden Early Learning is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to welcome your precious adventurer to Arden Early Learning. To ensure a smooth and joyful transition, we’ve compiled a handy checklist of essential items to pack for your child’s first day. Remember, labelling everything with their name adds a personal touch and helps avoid lost belongings.
- A sturdy and comfortable backpack: Think of it as their personal treasure chest, big enough to hold all the day’s discoveries.
- A sun-protective hat: A hat is key for happy heads and carefree play especially in the summer months.
- Cot sheets: Make nap time extra cosy with their own comfy sheets.
- A reusable drink bottle: Encourage healthy hydration habits with a personal bottle they can refill throughout the day.
- Two changes of comfortable clothing: Accidents happen, and creativity sparks messy masterpieces! Pack comfy clothes that can handle spills and playground adventures.
- Spare underpants: For our toilet-training champions, pack at least six pairs of underpants for worry-free confidence.
- Bottles and formula: If your little one is a bottle-lover, pack their preferred bottles and enough formula to keep their tummy happy.

Remember, the most important thing your child can bring is their infectious smile and inquisitive spirit! Starting at childcare for the first time or a new centre can be a challenge for our little ones. For more on how to handle big emotions in toddlers, click here.
