Our Pre-Kindy Room

A joyful stepping stone between Toddlers and Kindergarten, where growing independence meets big imaginations. Our Pre-Kindy children explore a marketplace, tinker in the tools-and-garden corner, and curl up together for a story — building the confidence and skills they'll carry into their Kindergarten year.

A Day in Pre-Kindy

Big imaginations, growing independence

Pre-Kindy is where children start to stretch their wings — choosing their own play, working through small challenges, and building the confidence they'll need for their Kindergarten year. Our educators follow each child's interests, weaving in gentle learning moments throughout the day.

One day might start at the marketplace, packing a basket and "paying" at the register — building early numeracy and social skills through pretend play. Another might begin in our tools-and-garden corner, tinkering with real-world props that spark curiosity about how things work. And when it's time to slow down, our cosy reading nook is always ready, with soft cushions, favourite stories and a cuddly turtle or two.

Every child also has their own cubby space — a small but meaningful step towards the independence and routine they'll need at "big school."

Pre-Kindy gently builds the social, fine motor and independence skills children need before stepping into our Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program the following year — following routines, sharing with friends, and growing in confidence, all at their own pace.
